Using a careful design process, a pre-designed set of building blocks, generic foundry platforms now offer an easy and affordable access to so-called Multi-Project Wafer runs. As a result, it is now easier than ever to design and manufacture custom Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) [1, 2]. Initially interested in the behaviour of two-colour semiconductor lasers, we hereby investigate how InP generic foundry platform capabilities could be efficiently exploited to obtain such dual-wavelength emission with the available building blocks. We have designed and implemented various structures on an InP PIC with different separations between the wavelength and in this contribution we analyse the behaviour and lasing properties of each design.
