The workplan for the project is tailored to achieve the project objectives. It consists of eight work-packkgages: 1) Basic investigations on tools for the prediction of the optimum parameter settings for the technology. 2) Basic investigations on expansion of the technology for a wide range of materials and products. 3. Basic investigations on separation of the metals from the electrolyte and processing the waste to reusable materials. 4. Development of all modules of e flexible prototype ECM machine. 5. Development of the computer based expert system for the SPECTRUM process. 6. Development of the regeneration system for the electrolyte and the metal separation system. 7. Integration of the prototype machine with the fluid processing system and demonstration of the feasibility of the technology for clean mass production of products of Partners Philips and Bosch. 8. Project management, co-ordination, and dissemination and exploitation of the project results.
