With the support of IOF a consortium between prof. Wim De Malsche of the µFlow group of the Department of Bioengineering Sciences (DBIT) and prof. Karine Hellemans of the Diabetes Research Cluster (DRC) of the VUB has launched the µFlow Cell, which will develop the following three valorization routes in microfluidics.
Design and develop innovative microfluidic solutions within the core research lines of the consortium.
Fabricate and validate microfluidic devices and microreactors, from prototype to small industrial series.
Engineer and produce functional microparticles, such as biomaterials for therapeutic or diagnostic procedures, from lab to small industrial scale.
